Our Team

Henry Jaffe, P. Eng, President

Henry brings 30 years of experience in new product introduction, strategic sales, and technology commercialization. He has raised over $150M in seed venture capital and research funding for projects in the fields of information technology, biotechnology, sustainable energy, resource exploration, environmental remediation, aerospace, security and emergency preparedness. This has contributed to the creation of over $5B in revenues and many times over in market value.

Henry is the key driver behind Climate Ventures and it’s Sustainable Business Engineering Framework™.

Pierre M. Brault, Vice-President of Project Development

Pierre will build international partner relationship networks, develop project and financial transaction structures, evaluate and direct mergers and acquisitions, prepare strategic plans and conduct valuation of companies and investment projects. He recently completed 3 private financing rounds, of ever increasing amounts, in the US and Canada as EVP and CFO for a Canadian project development corporation aiming to become a large industrial producer of 2nd generation BtL biofuels. He brought the majority of the technology and industrial partners into that project, all international firms among the leaders in their respective expertise. From 2005 to 2007, Pierre was Investment Director in the IT sector of the SGF, a $2 billion industrial and financial holding in Montreal. From 2000 to 2004, he was Director of worldwide Corporate Development for Fujitsu Consulting (DMR). Prior to that, he advised both small and large corporations such as Bombardier, LGS (IBM), and the French Petroleum Institute on mergers and acquisitions with a financial advisory firm in Monaco. He excels in strategic planning, building business networks and value creation in the process. Pierre holds the professional designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) since 1995, obtained MBA in 1989 from IMEDE (IMD) in Switzerland, was admitted as a lawyer to the Quebec Bar in 1986, and received a Bachelor of Administration in finance from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales in Montréal in 1982.

Bryan O'Connor, Vice-President of Marketing and Community Management

For over two decades, Bryan O'Connor has focused on practicing and staying in the forefront of marketing, research and communications. He has served in numerous management roles in telecommunications, information technology and other industries. As a consultant, he has helped organizations identify opportunities, penetrate and develop markets, prepare business plans and raise funds.

Bryan is passionate and experienced in leveraging online marketing, communities and social media for customer engagement, product development and revenue generation. Most recently, he was the Vice President at N-able Technologies responsible for global marketing.

Bryan earned a Bachelor of Administration and a Certificate in Social Communications at the University of Ottawa. He has taken Environmental Studies at the University of Waterloo. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Lansbridge University.

Mark Flewelling, Vice-President of Product Strategy

Mark Flewelling is the Vice President of Product Strategy for Climate Ventures. He is a 25 year versatile industry veteran who has spent the majority of his career in strategic leadership, technical and team building roles in both the information technology as well as telecommunications arena's.

Mark's career has allowed him to apply his knowledge and experience on a global stage having spent 3 years in Latin America in the mid 1990's where he guided the design, architecture and implementation of two network operations centres for both the Compania de Telecomunicaciones de Chile and Entel Bolivia. In 1999 he founded Digital Fairway Corporation, a web services management software provider, where he spent 8 years in a variety of roles including Vice President of Product Strategy where his duties also included the management and development for professional services. More recently Mark has spent the last 18 months in the smart energy space having consulted on the design, architecture and development of a demand response system for Energate Inc. based in Ottawa, Ontario.

Mark is applying his extensive expertise in web services management towards the architecture and development of web based communities of research and practice for environmental non-government organizations and Climate Venture's web properties.
